Our Story

Bee divider

Honeybee Haven was founded in 2010 by James and Elizabeth Wilson, fifth-generation beekeepers from the Cotswolds with a vision to promote sustainable beekeeping practices throughout the UK.

What began as a small family operation with just a dozen hives has grown into one of Britain's most respected beekeeping services, managing over 500 hives across the country and providing education to thousands of aspiring apiarists.

Our journey has been guided by a deep respect for honeybees and their critical role in our ecosystem. Through periods of environmental challenges and declining bee populations, we've remained committed to ethical beekeeping practices that prioritize bee welfare alongside honey production.

Today, we're proud to lead the way in innovative, sustainable apiculture while maintaining the traditional knowledge passed down through generations of British beekeepers.
